Jacques Thomet honours these pioneers of the information that are journalists of the agency France Presse in his book. His colleagues are all unknown soldiers of the information : unknown persons who sign by their initials but who are heroes.

It is a story of heart between AFP and the author of this book. Thirty years in the service of this big machine of the information, Jacques Thommet knows AFP's wheels. He delivers us anecdotes and confidences on the big world events today. An occasion to remind that AFP, it is the number one of the information after the American Associated Press and the british Reuters. Translated into six languages, AFP gives computer graphics, videos and satellite pictures besides the traditional telegrams. These 485 pages are demonstration of the work of 2000 journalists on the ground who bring back every day the information for AFP. 85 in service or retired witnesses agreed to deliver their experience and their passion for their agency to Jacques Thommet. All of this in order to drill the secrets of the history through journalistic eyes which everything saw and knew.

The author made wish of transparency to the reader. He gives as well the truths expressed as the information stifled even concealed.
